Embracing two wheels...

How I wish to see more of girl bikers out there.  Don't know about the ratio though, but from what I've gathered so far, it's a gazillion male riders to 1 lady rider..hahaha.

I foung another interesting blogsite, just thought the girls out there would like to drop by and take a look. Wink

Vectrix Electric Maxi-Scooter

With the  recent wave of gas price hikes, most pinoys have turned to the two-wheeled contraptions as the main means of transportation.  Through the years, most of the manufacturers have come up with there versions of the hybrid vehicles. Not withstanding, it is logical for them to also have one that has two wheels.

It's just a matter of time before these things reach our shores.  So for now, we just make do with reading about them.  hehehe

Lucky guys at scooterscoop.com got to be one of those honored to test drive the Electric Maxi-Scooter from VectrixUSA...VERY LUCKY GUYS.

For a review of the test, please click on the above image.

Huling Hirit sa Tag-init! After Ride Report (by Paul_xt16)

It was 3:20AM when I woke up. I was fixing my stuff rather slowly. I hopped on my bike at 4:20AM.

"Parang sobrang kapit yata ng IRC Thailand na gulong ko today..." I thought to my self. Then, I just realized I had a flat tire! I was all geared up then and just got out of the gate. Good thing, I have Java710's flat tire repair in a can. Total time spent inflating the front tire: 3 minutes. I would've ran flat to the vulcanizing shop and delayed the whole ride or not join the ride at all if not for this wonder product! (Promo ba?)

I hurriedly went to Katips to meet Sev. We traversed C5 planning to get to EDSA and to Shell in Macapagal by 5:15AM. After getting lost in D Fort and NAIA, we met again in Macapagal at around 6AM.

We met with the rest of the group in Shell Times, Las Pinas at around 6:20AM. After a short briefing, Tuxster speared our pack of 13 to Silang, Cavite where we met with Biker23's group. We got to JoeyCaro's restaurant, Simply Scrumptious, at around 8:30AM.

It was a lovely day. The sun was shining and we were in Tagaytay smelling the cool breeze. No signs of a downpour! We were at a very friendly place with very accomodating people to serve our breakfast. We had our fill of unlimited coffee, hot chocolate, rice, danggit, scrambled egg, lugaw, tokwa't baboy and pineapple slices. We were also served with their buko pie samplers. All of us where looking for spots to sleep afer the heavy breakfast that we had there.

The group geared up and decided to go to Nasugbu. We had to stop for around 10 minutes when it rained. Yes! It rained but for only 5 minutes and we waited 5 minutes more after to let the road dry up a bit.

We got to Fantasy World at around 1PM to rest and to take pictures. After 10 minutes we were on our way back to Tagaytay. We enjoyed a few twisties on our way down to Tagaytay road. Everyone had fun. I, especially, had fun when I had dirtbike moments at the twisties. I overshot and got off the road making the Jet an off-roader! Good thing I didn't crash and no one else spilled either. Good thing I didn't have Joey Caro's apple crumble pie yet, or else, it would have been an apple... shake?

We went back to sir JoeyCaro's restaurant to buy our apple crumble pie pasalubong and to rest before hitting the road again. After 15 minutes we were homebound.

I got home in Novaliches at 5pm.

Total time out of the house: 13 hours
Total distance travelled: 338 kms
Total gas consumed: +/- 9 liters
Total amount spent: < P700
Total fun factor: 100%

'Til the next ride, guys!
